Pearls from Grandma
by Tammy Oberlin

About Pearls from Grandma: I began designing the pattern for “Pearls” in 2005.  I finished the paper pattern and started work on the quilting in early 2006. This quilt was done on my Gammill Classic Plus, completely hand-guided. It took a lot longer than I had expected; I almost missed the deadline for mailing it to MQS! While quilting all of the tiny circles, I kept thinking of the add-a-pearl necklace my Grandma started for me when I was little. An obvious choice for the name (Grandma was very happy!) This quilt, by far, has the record for the amount of time on my machine! I am not sure of the number of hours I spent on it,
but it is in the hundreds.
