Transform Your Quilting Journey

Quilting with Confidence (QWC) is a community-first, hands-on experience designed to bring quilters of all levels together to learn, grow, and create with confidence.

With the perfect blend of learning, laughter, and celebration, QWC brings a lively, welcoming energy that feels as much like a gathering of friends as it does a hands-on workshop. Participants work directly with Gammill educators and machines, explore ideas through guided experiences, and discover new ways to approach design and longarming with confidence and creativity. Along the way, quilters gain practical tools and real-world solutions for everyday challenges, deepen their understanding of design, and build skills they can use immediately. The experience is engaging, inspiring, and genuinely fun — a place where creativity flourishes, connections grow, and every quilter leaves feeling supported, empowered, and excited about what they can create next.

Open to longarmers of any machine or brand, QWC welcomes quilters of all skill levels to learn and grow together.

Highlights will include:

Designing with Intention: Step into a designer’s mindset and learn how intentional choices transform a quilt. Through inspiring examples and live exploration, see how different approaches, tools, and techniques can influence the finished result.

Understanding Quilt Dynamics: Explore quilt dynamics and learn how to manage movement, shrinkage, and shifting as you quilt, with practical strategies that help you maintain control, improve results, and quilt with greater confidence.

Edge-to-Edge Design: Traditional & Modern Approaches: Explore both traditional and modern edge-to-edge strategies while learning how density, scale, and design choices impact the finished quilt, quilting time, and budget. Gain practical insight into selecting designs that balance beauty, efficiency, and purpose.

Throughout the event participants will experience:

Connection & Community: Enjoy shared moments of fun and meaningful conversation that bring quilters together — fostering inspiration, encouragement, and lasting connections beyond the event.

Quilt Share: Participant quilts displayed throughout the event create opportunities to explore real longarming projects, spark design conversations, and learn from one another

Hands-On Practice: Learning  practical, executable techniques — including hand-guided quilting, computerized quilting, and creative handwork — designed to build confidence at any skill level.

Maintenance Moments: Throughout the event, participants will learn simple, preventative maintenance habits that keep machines running smoothly and help reduce frustration over time.

Tools That Work for You: Explore Gammill tools that focus on when to use them, why they matter, and how they can simplify your quilting process.

Problem-Solving at Every Stage: Discover how to fix — or confidently move past — common quilting issues like wobbly lines, tension problems, awkward points, and thread breaks.
