Troubleshooting Connection Issues

NOTE: The Elevate Retrofit system requires two Bluetooth connections to work properly. The first connection is between the tablet and the Elevate controller and the second connection is between the Elevate controller and the machine head.In the Elevate app, Settings > Bluetooth Setup, with both controller and head off, tap SCAN for Device.

Power on the controller then the head. Select the Elevate device (controller) first, then Choose machine connection (the head) in this order.

There may be a message to accept the Pass Key select OK.

Wait 30 seconds and close Bluetooth settings. There should be indication of connected status in the upper left corner of the main screen shortly.

If the firmware needs to be updated on the controller, it should pop up in 30 seconds after the tablet link light goes solid on the controller. If it doesn’t pop up on a fresh controller install, restart the software. If the firmware download hangs, wait one minute to make sure it won’t resume, then power cycle (turn off then back on) the controller and restart the app. The firmware download should restart. You must be very intentional to touch and hold OK to start the firmware download or the requester will disappear.

After the firmware has finished, power cycle the controller and restart the app.  The controller should connect within 20 seconds, then the head link light should start to flash. If the head doesn’t connect within 30 to 60 seconds, restart the app. If that doesn’t get a connection to the head, un-pair with Android settings, Bluetooth, and repeat the above steps.
