You want to be a confident quilter but obstacles may be standing in your way of attending in-person events or getting the education you need. Now, you can receive interactive education from the comfort of home with Gammill’s Quilting with Confidence online events. Our regional events feature recorded and live components to help you connect with your fellow quilters and be the most confident quilter possible. Education is available for all longarm quilters. – select from hand-guided, Elevate, or Statler class tracks. It is not necessary to own a Gammill. Events will be held in June and July 2021.

Step by Step of How a Virtual Quilting with Confidence Works

Our regional events feature recorded and live components to help you connect with your fellow quilters and be the most confident quilter possible. Here is how it works.
  • Select the regional, virtual event of your choice in June or July – either the one closest to you or that works best for your schedule. There will be live, online components throughout the two-day period using Zoom.
  • Select your class track: Statler, Elevate, Hand-Guided. The list of classes for each track is available at Gammill.com/QuiltingWithConfidence. The classes were created and recorded by the Gammill Education Team.
  • Register for your class track and select your password.
  • Check your email for your username and login at GammillEducation.com.
  • Browse class materials beginning one week prior to your live event. You can browse the materials prior or viewing time will be set aside during your two-day virtual event if you would like to follow along. Plus you have unlimited access to the materials for the remainder of 2021.
  • Receive your free swag bag and t-shirt in the mail and get ready for a fun, virtual event!
  • Login to GammillEducation.com at 8 a.m. on Day 1 of your selected regional event and click on the tab for the Regional Event Live components (video instructions will be available).
  • Have fun and learn! Throughout the regional event, take part in question and answer sessions, trunk show and more! A complete schedule is available at Gammill.com/QuiltingWithConfidence.

Live Regional Events

Miss connecting with educators and your fellow quilters?  Gammill will offer 11 regional events in June and July designated by time zone.  These 2021 Quilting with Confidence events will feature live sessions throughout the events designed so that you can ask questions and discuss the recorded content.   Although participants are encouraged to attend the regional event that best matches their location, you are welcome to attend the session that is most convenient for you.

For the registration price of $299, receive unlimited access through the remainder of 2021 to 10+ hours of NEW recorded class content. There is a $10 per month subscription fee that will begin in 2022, if you would like to have continued access.  Also, with your registration fee, receive complimentary entry to the live, virtual regional event of your choice with more than 6 hours of live events. 2021 Quilting with Confidence

Pre-Registrations

Those who pre-registered for the 2020 and 2021 Quilting with Confidence Tour Stops can apply their deposit to the virtual event or the deposit can be extended through 2022.  Please check your email for a code to apply the deposit for the new online event.  If you did not receive this via email, please send a message to contact@gammill.com. Those with Education vouchers may also use these certificates for the online Quilting with Confidence event. To do so, please mark your certificates as void and send a photo to contact@gammill.com. An online code will be returned to you within two business days.

Class Tracks

Register for the class track and regional event of your choice using the links below. Recorded class materials will not be available until one week prior to your selected regional event. You will have unlimited access to this content for the remainder of 2021. There is a $10 per month subscription fee that will begin in 2022, if you would like to have continued access. There is a subscription fee of $10 per month that begins in 2022. This can be canceled at any time.

Join the Gammill hand-guided educators to learn new designs and build upon them. Your quilting will shine! With dozens of designs covered over six in-depth sessions, there is something for everyone.
Your hand-guided class track registration includes these sessions:
Flora and Fauna: This is the first class in the hand-guided class track. How to use organic elements such as flowers and leaves in your quilt. Flowers and leaves are forgiving designs because no two flowers are alike. This class is a foundation for other sessions in the hand-guided track and elements will be incorporated into other sessions. This class features 21 videos with instruction on the S Leaf, Fern Leaf, Oak Leaf, Maple Leaf, Wreaths, Daisy, Round Dalia, Pointed Dalia, and more.
Niddy Griddy: This class uses grids as a foundation allowing you to add simple point-to-point designs. This gives you endless possibilities to create designs efficiently and quickly! The grid helps you to know exactly where you are heading next. Learn the benefits of different grid sizes. This session features more than 20 videos covering designs including half triangles, fan blades, diagonal basketweave, continuous curves, clamshells, cherry, basketweave, angle, and more.
Quilting on the Edge: Learn more about quilting with rulers in this hand-guided quilting class. The educators cover ruler basics, plus show how to quilt several grid blocks in this session.
Dazzling Designs: This class combines some of the skills you have learned to create stunning, one-of-a-kind designs. This class features 14 videos with topics including choosing all-over designs, flower edge to edge, swirl feathers, rooster tales, wavy lines, and overlapping squares and rectangles.
Maintenance: Learn the ins and outs of your Gammill machine including basic maintenance and repairs in this class from the Gammill tech team.
Fabulous Fixes 2.0: Break stuff, fix it better. We all make mistakes! Sometimes the products of those mistakes can be better than the original. In this class, learn how to prepare your quilt to prevent errors. The educators also go over how to baste to control problem areas, thread choices, and more.
Get the most from your Elevate computerized machine! The Elevate’s nine class sessions take you from learning the basic functions of the Elevate and progresses to Edge to Edge Quilting, using blocks for more custom quilting, ideas for using computerized designs as a framework for freehand, plus how to use CreativeStudio to manipulate patterns and create designs for your Elevate.
Your Elevate class track registration includes these sessions:
Introduction to Elevate: This class takes a look at the basics of the Elevate including the tablet screen and functions.
Elevate Edge to Edge: In this class, work alongside the educator to quilt out an edge to edge on an Elevate. From preparing the quilt to selecting the pattern and setting selections, you’ll receive step-by-step instructions to confidently quilt edge to edge patterns.
Blocks, Borders and Single Rows: Learn several ways to use the block function and progress to placing borders and sashings using the single row function.
Opposites Attract: Combine Elevate computerized quilting with your hand-guided quilting. Combine both styles for unique designs that are all your own. Begin with a digital framework and add your freehand.
Intro to CreativeStudio for Elevate: Learn how you can use CreativeStudio can assist Elevate users.
Designing for Elevate: Learn to use CreativeStudio to adapt and create your very own designs to use on your Elevate.
Fun with Features: Learn how to use features of CreativeStudio to manipulate patterns for your Elevate including draw pattern, echo, and fill. Plus, learn to use your existing patterns to create composite patterns that you can stitch on your Elevate.
Maintenance: Learn the ins and outs of your Gammill machine including basic maintenance and repairs in this class from the Gammill tech team.
Fabulous Fixes 2.0: Break stuff, fix it better. We all make mistakes! Sometimes the products of those mistakes can be better than the original. Learn how to use all the features and tools in CreativeStudio to use the software and your machine to its fullest potential. Whether you quilt as a business or as a hobby, the eight Statler sessions will give you the resources and tools to be the most confident quilter possible.

In the Cloud: Learn about the integrated tools in CreativeStudio that allow you to search, sort, organize and back up your patterns so that you never lose them again.
Quilt Smarter Not Harder: Make the most of the tools in CreativeStudio to quilt smarter, not harder. Learn to use and customize your menu bar and tool strip, make and use boundaries and templates, audition patterns to fit a boundary, import an image and audition patterns, and export an image with an auditioned design.
Edge to Edge Excellence: Learn how to set up edge to edge patterns for edge-to-edge patterns. Follow along with the instructor in Stand Alone Mode as she teaches you step by step how to edge-to-edge quilt using CreativeStudio.
Borders to Enhance Your Quilting: After learning edge-to-edge skills, the first step to moving into custom quilting is often to quilt borders on a quilt. In this class, set up border corner patterns to stitch continuously using the border corner feature. Learn about border corner pattern orientation, imperfect border shapes, tricks to deal with quilt shrinkage, and more.
Custom Designing: Learn to manipulate and adjust patterns for your individual quilt. This class will show you how to adapt and customize patterns you have and learn how to create patterns from scratch using tools such as draw pattern. Follow along with a provided project.
Real Quilts Aren’t Perfect: Learn how to use the features of CreativeStudio with real-world quilts! This class goes in-depth into computerized stitch in the ditch work, fill work behind applique, echos around objects, address different ways to place sashings, and more.
Maintenance: Learn the ins and outs of your Gammill machine including basic maintenance and repairs in this class from the Gammill tech team.

FAQs

Can I attend an event outside my region?

Absolutely! The regions are set up for your convenience and so you can meet and connect with other quilters in your part of the country or world. However, you are welcome to attend any event in any region or time zone.

Do I have to attend the live portions of the event?

No, the live portions of the event are completely optional. You are welcome to attend as many or as few of the live sessions during your regional event. Please note, you can only access live portions of the regional event for which you are registered. The live portions of the event will only be available during the two-day regional event.

How long will I have access to the recorded content?

Recorded content will be available to view one week prior to your regional event and you will have unlimited access until the end of 2021.  There is a $10 per month subscription fee that will begin in 2022, if you would like to have continued access.

Can I split my live sessions between regional events?

No, you will only have access to the live portions of the regional event for which you are registered.  Registration numbers are limited for each event in order to ensure the best experience possible for participants, therefore, registrations cannot be split between events.

I have a scheduling conflict. Can I cancel or reschedule?

Please contact us at contact@gammill.com to inquire about rescheduling to a different regional event. Participation is limited for each event, however, we will do our best to accommodate reschedule requests. Please make the request as soon as possible.  A reschedule must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the event you are scheduled to attend.  Cancellations and refunds are not available, however, you may still access the recorded materials even if you are unable to participate in the live events.

When will in person Quilting with Confidence events resume?

At this time, Gammill does not have any in-person events scheduled for Spring or Summer 2021.  We recently sent out a survey seeking feedback from our quilters about resuming in-person events.  The majority of responders said they were not comfortable resuming in-person at this time. Gammill will continue to monitor the situation and listen to our customer feedback. We look forward to seeing you in person as soon as possible. In the meantime, we are excited to utilize technology so that you can interact with our education team and your fellow quilters from the comfort and safety of home!

I am experiencing a Developer Tool error. What does this mean?

The Developer Tool error is typically seen when accessing the education portal from a mobile device. For the best experience on a mobile device or tablet, please utilize the education app. To download the app, click here.  Enter the website: GammillEducation.com when prompted by the app.

Can I access classes on a mobile device?

Yes, the courses are available on mobile device via app. To download the app, click here.  Enter the website: GammillEducation.com when prompted by the app.

How can I reset my password?

Your username and password will be sent to you via e-mail upon purchasing your class. If you forget your username or password, you can reset this information.  Go to the Gammill Education login page and select “Forgotten your username or password?”  to reset your password or receive a username reminder.

How can I cancel my monthly renewal?

The $10 monthly subscription fee will begin in 2022 for the Quilting with Confidence 2021 classes. Subscriptions must be canceled prior to renewal and cannot be refunded once charged.  To cancel your subscription, login at https://gammill.com/my-account/, turn off the auto renew toggle, and the next time that class expires, it will NOT renew. You’ll receive an email notification at that time, offering renewal in case the expiration was a mistake.

I registered. Where are my classes?

To access recorded classes visit https://gammilleducation.com and login using the username that was emailed to you upon registration. You should be able to login as soon as payment is completed.  You will be able to view recorded content one week prior to your regional event. You will have unlimited access to the recordings for the remainder of 2021. There is a $10 per month subscription fee that will begin in 2022, if you would like to have continued access.   Links to live portions of the regional event can also be found with your class materials.
