Thread breaking
« on: February 15, 2016, 02:50:47 PM »
I just started using my machine again.  I am using a pattern that is just modern lines and the thread keeps breaking.  I had just used the same thread on another pattern with no issues.  I messed with the tension, changed the needle, check bobbin tension.  Any other thoughts, I am a newbie basically.

Have you tried re-threading from other words, not pulling the thread through but unthreading and threading again?

Try loosening the quilt sandwich by one or two notches.

Is there a lot heavy seams or fusible appliques on this new quilt top?

Is it possible that you have some lint or a piece of thread caught in the bobbin area?  Be sure to check the height of your take-up roller, too.
