CreativeStudio / Keep Calm and Turn the Program ON
« Last post by Jane S on March 31, 2017, 09:33:25 AM »
I have decided to calm myself down and give this new program a chance.
really what choice do we have?

I am not liking getting used to relearning steps that have become habit and require no though, IE button seqences etc, but things change and digging in and being stubborn does not help the transition process, Here or anywhere else in life.

I am playing with the program at night while watching the tube.

It is a little frustrating, but what ya gonna go. There are greater problems in this world.

That being said, I still think the interface is butt ugly!

CreativeStudio / what were you thinking?!

Initial reaction to this new release.

I dont like it!  ugly interface! It appears to me they took an easy program and made it way too complicated!

not sure how pattern manager works appears if you want to use it you have to purchase I Pattern.

I cant even figureout how to add a pattern not already in the app.

the screen does not appear to reflect the zoom ratio correctly.

I have set at 100 percent, with 1 inch grid and the square is not anywhere near a one inch square! way too small.

I know I can be app challenged, but this seems way more complicated to use than cs6.

I have a workshop beginning of May. wont be playing with this until then!
Not impressed Gammill!  UGLY

We know you all have been anxiously awaiting the release of CreativeStudio 7.0 this month. Unfortunately, we have had unexpected challenges that mean the software will not be ready this March as previously planned. This new version of software is much different than any previous version of CS with so many new features and improvements. The addition of Pattern Management meant software programming changes on almost every level. Because this has led to unexpected delays we have made the very difficult decision to delay the full release of the software.
The decision to not release in March was not made lightly. But, as a company, we would never want to release a software version that is not completely ready for you. We value you too much as customers. Your time, your quilts and your customers are too important to risk the chance that software might not work just as it should.

Today, we are releasing to you a demo version of the software that can be operated in Stand Alone Mode (SAM). You will be able to operate this on any computer but you will not be able to use it to stitch out on your Statler. We know many of you are excited about CS7 and many have classes scheduled. This demo version will allow you to learn and become familiar with CreativeStudio 7.0. CreativeStudio 7 has so many great new features we are sure you are going to love it. We hope you will enjoy getting to know the software more through this demo version and will be as excited as we are for the full release.

Hi there,
You should be able to upgrade directly to CS 7 from CS 5.
We haven't seen any issues with that thus far.
Thank you,

CreativeStudio / CS7 upgrade
« Last post by byll on March 30, 2017, 03:26:21 AM »
I am still running CS5 on my Statler.  I have had some medical issues for a couple of years which limited my quilting ability. Will I need to install CS6 before I can upgrade to CS7 or go directly to CS7?
Kindest Regards Bill H
