When we updated to CS 6 there were a few additional patterns that were added as a gift for doing the upgrade. Are there any gifted patterns for the CS7 upgrade?

Thanks, Nadine

From our tech support department: The newest computers do not have an HDMI port on them. They do have a Display port. You can get a Display to HDMI adapter and use the Display port.  Please let us know if when can assist with anything further. Thank you!

I just purchased a statler computer with cs7 from my dealer.  I am trying to set it up, but have a hdmi monitor which i use on my old computer.  does the statler computer (new one) have hdmi capability?     the VGA does not work well on my monitor images are horizontly stretched and it warps my vision.  no problem with how the hdmi monitor works.   I did try changing the resolution on the vga and it kept the horizontal stretch no matter what i chose, also no matter what resolution i used the cs7 or cs6 computer vga kept the stretch.  would appreciate any help on this, if it does not have hdmi capability on the cs7 computer can i install it with a board?

I bought a USB to Ethernet connector (about $14)--I have a 3.0 USB port on my Statler computer/so it is faster, but if you have a 2.0 USB then you can use a cheaper adapter.  I then insert the USB to the slot/connect a (separate) ethernet cable into the adapter, and insert the other ethernet into the wall port for internet.  It worked really great, and now I detach it and keep it with my supplies for connecting when I need to.  (e.g. downloading new patterns, or downloading updates)  Hope that helps.  It is also what the technician suggested.
You can also (if you have wireless) get a USB adapter for wireless, but I wanted to use an ethernet hard connection for this purpose.

I thank you for the reply.  I was able to connect with a technician via email yesterday and today, after many hours, I was able to successfully install CS7 and the various Windows updates, as well as work through the other issues tht some users identified, with the patterns not showing up.  Finally I was able successfully stitch some samples.
It was always a NO-NO to connect to the internet, and I look forward to keeping the system files more up to date, as well as using the Pattern Cloud and its features.
Now I have to re-learn the processes, and hope that I get back to my quilting comfort soon.

Gammill now recommends that you do connect your Statler to the Internet to take advantage of CS automatic updates, Pattern Cloud and tech support assistance.  The protective software Windows has added to their programs has been the reason for this change.  We do recommend you keep Internet usage to on the Internet to a minimum (avoid checking emails, browsing the Internet, etc.).
However, you should also be able to download the software on a USB from and use it that way as well. Can you tell us more about the error you are experiencing? Tech support is also available at 800-659-8224 ext 2. Thank you!
