Gammill now recommends that you do connect your Statler to the Internet to take advantage of CS automatic updates, Pattern Cloud and tech support assistance.  The protective software Windows has added to their programs has been the reason for this change.  We do recommend you keep Internet usage to on the Internet to a minimum (avoid checking emails, browsing the Internet, etc.).
However, you should also be able to download the software on a USB from and use it that way as well. Can you tell us more about the error you are experiencing? Tech support is also available at 800-659-8224 ext 2. Thank you!

Announcements From Gammill / CS7 Auto Update 10/13/17
« on: October 13, 2017, 02:57:28 PM »
Gammill has released an auto update to CreativeStudio 7.0. If your computer is connected to the Internet, please accept the update when prompted. If your computer is not connected to the internet we at Gammill strongly encourage you to connect. Connecting will allow you to easily receive software updates as well as enhanced help from tech support. If your computer is unable to be connected to the Internet, you can download the update from

Another of the great enhancements of CS7 is that we are able to send Auto Update notices direct through CS along with the actual updates to the software. This allows us to send smaller more frequent updates and minor fixes, all while keeping the process simple for you the user.

This particular update is necessary to remove a time out feature that could temporarily deactivate the software. Please accept the update when prompted or you will otherwise risk a disruption in your software until the update is accepted. Should you be unable to update before a disruption occurs simply change the date on your computer to a date prior to 10/15/17, open CS and run the update, then change the date back to the proper date.
For more information about this update, please visit

CreativeStudio / Re: search wildcards
« on: August 28, 2017, 09:59:43 AM »
Yes there is in Patterns Tab.  First, expand the tab by clicking the right arrow, click Advanced Search, change both Boolean's to "And" then in one field type "Garden" and in the other type "Party".  A helpful hint is you can also change one of the operators to Not to eliminate patterns with certain words.

As far as wildcards that is somewhat automatic, just don't finish typing the whole word. If the partial word is contained it will be found.

Thank you!

Hi Ginger!
You should be able to upload as many patterns as you would like (including from different folders) then click Upload and it bulk uploads all at once. Can you describe more about the what you are seeing or send a screenshot to Thank you!

Yes, you can remove the patterns, but you can't just "undo" the import. The only way to do that would be to use the cloud and then do a one way sync to go back to what you had before the import.

The store tab cannot be hidden but you do not have to use it. Thank you!

Hi Jane,
The features that would be inaccessible would be the store, pattern tag sharing (you can tag them yourself but would not get all the tags from designers or other users, which would save you time), cloud backup (for computer crashes) and the ability to easily transfer everything between your stitcher and a SAM laptop, etc.

You have explained itís function perfectly. It creates an escapement when the thread is passing through the opening between the hook and retainer bracket to make the stitch. The rocking finger is a helpful tool to make a better stitch. It will sew without it but it will make a much better stitch with it setup properly.

Thank you,

Machine Maintenance / Re: 2 year idle time
« on: July 10, 2017, 09:34:25 AM »
Good morning! Oiling should be the only thing to worry about. We suggest that you fill the white oil reservoir under the motor and oil as recommended in the manual. Do this the day before you plan to run the machine, which will allow the oil to saturate the wicks throughout the machine. Oil again as recommended in the manual the next day, rotate the machine with the handwheel to verify it is moving freely and you should be good to go.
