CreativeStudio / Re: CS6 stopped working in SAM
« on: September 15, 2017, 10:02:48 AM »
Hi there,
I have only seen this issue one other time and I'm afraid you'll have to uninstall CS 7 and Microsoft SQL server 2014 from your laptop and then reinstall CS 6 in order to get CS 6 to work.
We are aware of the issue and we're working to fix it, but we don't have a solution for it yet.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you,

CreativeStudio / Re: Converting vector files to .qli
« on: August 31, 2017, 05:41:15 PM »
Hi there,
The only other information I have on converting from DXF files pertains to AutoSketch.
I can send you that but I don't know if it would translate to Adobe Illustrator.
Let me know.
Thank you,

Hi there,
Yes, that is correct.
We recommend no extra anti virus software and no screen savers on Statler computers.
Please let me know if you need anything else.
Thank you.

CreativeStudio / Re: Installation problem
« on: August 28, 2017, 10:37:17 AM »
Hi there,
Once you're in CreativeStudio, check to see if you see your patterns on the left hand side of the screen.
If not: go into Service, Technical Support, Database Administration.
Click on Reset Database to Factory Defaults.
Click Yes.
Once that's successful, go into Service, Technical Support, Controller Definitions.
Uncheck Stand Alone Mode.
Go to File, Restore Factory Defaults
Choose your Mod from the drop down and click Select,
Save and close.
Close CS and open it back up again.

If that doesn't fix it, you'll need to make sure the computer is online, then create a Cloud account and log into it in CreativeStudio.
Then you'll go into Help, About and you'll click on Activate Stitcher.
Click OK or Yes.

If that doesn't fix it, let me know.
Thank you,

Pattern Discussion / Re: Can't Find Patterns
« on: August 15, 2017, 01:27:45 PM »
Hi there,
If you haven't downloaded the patterns then they won't show up.
You'll have to go through on the website and download all of the patterns.
Then you will be able to find them with CreativeStudio.
The password for the patterns is the same as the software.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
You can reach me at lisgroe@gammill.com
Thank you,
Lis

CreativeStudio / Re: CS7 Demo Version
« on: July 10, 2017, 09:23:21 AM »
Hi there,
Service is in CreativeStudio 7.
To get it open, you'll have to reset the date on your computer to a time when the Demo was valid.
Then you can go into Service, Technical Support, Reset CS Configuration.
That will force you to shut down CS.
Then you can reset your date to the correct one.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.

CreativeStudio / Re: RAM
« on: May 23, 2017, 10:04:11 AM »
Hi there,
You can certainly add RAM to your computer.
We recommend going to www.crucial.com. You can input your computer model and it will tell you how much RAM the computer can hold.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

CreativeStudio / Re: CS7 upgrade
« on: March 30, 2017, 10:01:23 AM »
Hi there,
You should be able to upgrade directly to CS 7 from CS 5.
We haven't seen any issues with that thus far.

CreativeStudio / Re: Dreaden Plate and Point to Point
« on: January 26, 2017, 03:28:17 PM »
Hi there,
If you have the boundaries drawn on the screen, you can use your mouse and Draw Point to Point pattern to place them on the screen. You'll want to make sure you have your Grid Snap on.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

CreativeStudio / Re: Machine loses its bearings
« on: January 23, 2017, 12:05:50 PM »
Hi there,
You may need to do a relocate. That will let the machine know exactly where it is on the quilt and you'll be able to restart where you want to. Right now, the machine is moving to where it thinks the pattern is.
So if you do the relocate, that should remind the machine where it's supposed to be.
Please let me know if you have any questions on this.

CreativeStudio / Re: Converting vector files to .qli
« on: January 23, 2017, 12:00:31 PM »
Hi there,
In theory, you can use an Adobe Illustrator file in CreativeStudio if you can somehow convert the vector file to a DXF. Then you'll need to edit the DXF file to contain text for your Macros and first and last. We don't have any support information on this.
We really don't recommend this method.
Please let me know if you have further questions.

CreativeStudio / Re: record pattern appears upside down on cad
« on: January 23, 2017, 11:33:44 AM »
Hi there,
This has to do with the Controller definitions you chose when you installed CS 6.
To change these, you'll go into Tools, Technical Support, Controller Definition.
Go up to File, Open. If your machine has silver wheels, double click on StitcherDef-SALG-F.defxml
If your machine has black wheels, double click on StitcherDef-SALG-F-Legacy.defxml.
That should fix the issue.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Thank you,

CreativeStudio / Re: CS on a tablet or iPad?
« on: November 30, 2016, 10:15:50 AM »
Hello there,
SAM mode will work on any Windows based tablet. So no Android tablets or iPads.
You'll have to make sure that it has a Windows operating system.
Then you'll copy the contents of a CreativeStudio installation CD onto a flash drive and you can install it there.

Please let me know if you have further questions.
Thank you,
