Machine Maintenance / Re: Thoughts of canvas leaders?
« on: January 21, 2016, 04:25:06 PM »
I have seen some other ideas, like spritzing with water and stretching them (canvas') back into shape. I was hoping to hear more from others, particularly Gammill. I suppose most people buy new ones. I live in New Zealand and we Long arm quilters are pretty isolated from the big long arm community of America! Any supplies have to be ordered from USA.

Hi folks! Do the canvas leaders ever need replacing or straightening after time? I am a newbie and I am not sure if mine are straight, I bought my machine second hand.

Hello from New Zealand. I am Leeanne, i bought a second hand Gammill Classic Plus in October last year. Previously I quilted professionally for over 6 years on my Bernina. I LOVE my machine and I am so please I got it. There is much to learn. Quilting is not huge business like in America, but I am very busy, my lovely customers keep me busy.
