Tammy Finkler Oberlin has been quilting professionally since 1991. She began free-motion quilting on her Bernina sewing machine, moving to longarm quilting machines in 1995 and adding a Statler Stitcher in 2005. Tammy runs a machine quilting and digitized pattern business.
Many of her original wholecloth quilts have won awards in national shows, including Best of Show at MQX 2006, the Gammill Longarm Award at the AQS show in Paducah in 2007 and 1st in Merit Quilting-Machine at IQA in Houston in 2008. Tammy was featured in an episode of TheQuiltShow.com with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims in November 2009.
Quilting Tips: To help reduce fold lines and wrinkles in show quilts, use wool batting. It will help them to hang nicely for display after being shipped and/or folded.
