Karen Marchetti, Quilt Artist
Location: Port Saint Lucie, FL
Quilting Experience: 9 years
Karen began quilting in 2003 piecing her first quilt top. In 2005 she decided to turn her hobby into a business with the purchase of her first Gammill longarm quilting machine. It didn’t take long for Karen to realize longarm quilting was her true passion and she began to develop her own unique style of custom quilting. She entered her first quilt show in 2006 and won Judge’s Choice. Since then she has won numerous awards for her personal quilts as well as client quilts on both local and national levels.
Karen’s work has been seen in publications such as Machine Quilting Unlimited and On Track! Magazine.

Quilting Tips: Always have FUN and never stop learning. There are no rules, only guidelines — what works for someone else might be totally wrong for you. Find exactly what works for you and make it yours. Stitch on your Gammill as much as you can — use every opportunity to practice and play. Always push your limits and extend beyond your comfort zone, it is what makes you grow as a quilter!
